What a dining experience! Always rooted in the best seasonal ingredients.
643 metres above Bergen, at the summit of Ulriken, you sit with panoramic views over the city, the fjords and Vidden while head chef Petter Sævareid sends out course after course using local, seasonal ingredients. The menu changes with the seasons, and each time the kitchen offers something new. Three-course lunch or five-course tasting menu for dinner, always grounded in Norwegian tradition with a modern twist on top. This is ambitious food in a place where, strictly speaking, the view alone would be enough.
You take the Ulriken cable car up, and the ticket is included when you book the dinner package. Reserve a table for six or seven o’clock and stay until the gondola closes at eleven. Watch the city light up while you work your way through the menu. If you want something simpler, pop into Ulriken Kafé without a reservation for coffee and lighter fare. But do yourself a favour and book the restaurant at least once.
Opening hours may vary, especially during holidays and seasonal changes. We recommend checking the venue's own website for updated hours.
