
Moon is a gem of a restaurant in the heart of Bergen.
Two twin brothers from Jura in France, a small venue with ten tables on Marken, and some of the most thoughtfully prepared food you will find in Bergen. Jules works the kitchen, applying classical French technique to Norwegian ingredients, while Nicolas runs the dining room and wines with a warmth that makes even a small space feel generous. The Michelin guide has taken notice, and the desserts are consistently highlighted as a standout. Fish from local fjords, French methods, and small surprises woven in from the brothers’ years in Oman and Paris.

Go for the five or six-course tasting menu with the wine pairing, and let Nicolas choose the glasses. He has a background from Alain Ducasse and WSET certification, so you are in safe hands. Moon is small and popular, so book well in advance. Located centrally on Marken, perfect after an evening in the city centre.
