Through the windows you can gaze out over Vågen harbour, the islands and the North Sea in the distance.
Six minutes on the Fløibanen funicular, and you're 320 metres above the city. The restaurant building from 1925, designed by architect Einar Oscar Schou, has been renovated with respect for the original details and reopened in a fresh new guise. In the Brasserie on the ground floor, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting: the menu changes with the seasons and is built on local produce from fjord and mountain. Through the windows you can gaze out over Vågen harbour, the islands and the North Sea in the distance.

If you want to take it up a notch, Schou on the floor above offers a multi-course tasting menu where chef Leo runs the show. In the Fireplace Lounge next door, you'll find cocktails crafted with ingredients from the nature surrounding the mountain. The outdoor terrace requires no reservation — just drop by. The trip up in the autumn darkness, with the city lights below you, is an experience in itself. The Fløibanen runs until all guests are safely down after the evening ends.

Opening hours may vary, especially during holidays and seasonal changes. We recommend checking the venue's own website for updated hours.
